Because of computers a modern vehicle is about as bland as can be. A mode for every occasion, removing the need of any real cars for a real purpose (other than pure track use). The cool factor of a special edition or some new super charger technology (going back to drag racing) is replaced by a battery you don't touch nor do you tamper with the motors. How interesting is that? literally no hassle at all. Just get in and go!..
E-Vehicles are the iPhone of the computer world. Are desktops and old push-rod V8's a bunch of dinosaurs in the past? Sure they are! but you will never ever be as cool as any one of them. You are a womans device. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Imagine the battery power you would need to haul 30000 pounds up a 10 percent grade for literally hours on end. Trust me its not happening when you can purchase a truck that can do that today on craigslist for under 10k$ They are not even fucking close yet. The truck they are going to come out with will be some powder puff bull shit that can't do what a truck needs to do

All the places they are used, the way they are used right now. You know, in the land of shit-eating suck-ville.. the village of the damned most of us call the real world. Besides, there is nothing for a man to be passionate about with EV's. It's the same argument I have about consoles and mobile phones. Convenience that ultimately robs the very interest I have in messing with the thing is self defeating. It's madness to continue if I like it. [You must be logged in to view images. Quality-wise, thread isn't really "what have you owned?" Well, at least not for everyone. The wife and I have owned Buicks, Cadillacs, and the odd Lincoln most of our lives but I wouldn't regard any of them as the best-quality builder. Rather, I accept owning a lesser-quality vehicle if it's something I actually want to sit inside as opposed to driving around in a well-built sardine can that I detest. I can live with turning a ratchet once in awhile. Danth

if you look at EV where they are today, compared to where they were 30 years ago, I think it's safe to say they will be standard 30 years from now.
But 10 years ago this year I predicted we'd have automated cars driving by now and I was wrong (and am waiting to find out it will be another 10 at this point losing all my faith in it)
