Step back and look at the big picture for a moment. (Side note: Yes, I work too.)

If cops didn't need to worry about so many accessible guns in America then they wouldn't be so jumpy when approaching an assailant. We wouldn't have all this de-fund cops stuff and more people would be alive.

The right to bear arms needs to be modified and before you freak out saying democrats are coming to take my guns.

Ask yourself a question: "Instead of all the guns being taken away from everyone (except cops) would it be okay if you were the only one to be allowed to keep your gun(s)?"

If the answer is, "yes" which I assume if you are a gun owner then aren't you just admitting that you feel you can't defend yourself because you feel others may have a gun or some other lethal force and you have to level the field.

I get it, humans are smart and if it wasn't a gun it would be something else but in many cases we regulate that something else for that reason. I can't buy a high enough powered blue laser light in stores or online for this reason; even thou it would be very, very cheap to have a weapon like this and to mass produce it.

You could even argue you could just as easily 3d print guns if needed but the idea in part to reduce the number of guns is just to have way, way, way less of them and to relax the situation. The number of guns in America is just too high.

And I know you might think you can't go to the extremes of getting rid of all guns.

But believe it or not there are free countries (with a large population) that have done a damn good job of just about that even when they had guns.

Democrats and Republicans have very much the same values if you look at a different way to resolve their issue often thought of as too extreme by one side.

Example: Make Capitalism great enough and give anyone an opportunity put in socialism and ensure no one isn't taken care of. etc...

That time trump said he was totally exonerated because bill barr got the first copy of the mueller report. 15 minutes later hes doing his press conference saying there were no crimes and no recommendation for prosecution, even though there were 10 instances for both in the report. The report was 250 pages long, he is a VERY fast reader. Insane speed reading. Good thing he was there to cover for trump or this would have ended very differently for donny rape hands.

I'm not blood thirsty. Those are the rules. I would expect DEATH if I was caught breaking in someones house. Wouldnt you? The police are too slow as it is. If you were pumped on adrenaline running through an unfamiliar house in the darkness, trying to steal shit, a few minutes would feel like an eternity. Five minutes, in and out, thats it. Police wont be there in time. Its on me to protect loved ones and property. FL is pretty lenient, you could blow someone head off as soon as they open a window and break the plane of outside to inside. Around here, even when they get away, people know shit. They usually turn up dead when you rob someone with money connected to the good ole boy network in town. A cop was murdered here a long time ago and the guys that did it were found dead "murder suicide" the cops said. Not exactly a "book em dano" type area.

It all depends. I’ve had two friends who have had someone break into their house in the middle of the night. In both completely separate situations, it was an unarmed drunk as fuck person: one believed he was at his friend’s house and was pissed his friend locked him out (he wasn’t at his friend’s house), and the other believed he was at his own house. If I can get a cop out to deal with that situation, rather than pulling my 9mm and yelling into the darkness “YOU KNOW THE RULES, MOTHERFUCKER!” And then spraying them with bullets and having to listen to whatever sucking noises a person makes who has multiple open chest wounds, I’d much rather the cop just deal with it

If it’s an actual home invasion with someone intent to kill me, then yeah you’re right, the cop isn’t going to get there in time. I’d STILL much rather the cop deal with it if they could get there in time, however. But even now, that’s not likely

But that’s just for home invasions, there’s a million other reasons it could be helpful to get a cop on the scene quickly that don’t require lethal force. I’m 6’0 220lbs 12% bf, not worried about taking someone in a fight. Does that mean I want to fight someone I know I could beat? Hell no, even if you win a fight, you can lose big time in court. So I’d rather call a cop to deal with someone trying to start a fight with me or someone I know in public, rather than deal with it myself

And mark my words, with how much anti-cop sentiment is going around, soon there is going to be a National cop shortage, not just in the cities like philly, Baltimore, New York, where there already is but everywhere. Crime rates are rising almost back to when it was at its worst in the 80’s and 90’s. People think us conservatives want the Wild West. I certainly don’t

Ive only seen that happen on the news. When that dad killed his son for playing a prank on him in a balaclava. Oh and they know the rules. You got some fair points. They just dont apply to my life/situation. cant say thats ever happened to me, with the drunk people. schrooming as a kid people would get hit with bird shot and salt, i guess i should be grateful none of my peers died in a cow pasture after a guy screamed "you know the rules bitch!" and used them as target practice for his new whatever, truck mounted artillery piece. They never called the police though. Its just not what is done around here.

All the land owners drop a mobile home on their property and let a dude live there for free. Four wheeler, truck, guns, etc all provided to "escort" people off the property or shoot the poachers. Deer poaching in orange groves, no cops for that. They cant even get on the property let alone down a 4 wheeler trail at 3am in some unfamiliar ass woods/swamps looking for an armed hunter that knows the land. Bad idea. Even worse for alligator poachers. Ever heard of peacock ranch? Thats how they do it. Used to be way crazier in the 1980-90s when the cocaine was flowing. Police working in private militias and shit.

I'm a product of my environment. "You know the rules bitch!" has killed the wrong person at some point, im sure, but I havent heard that story locally. The police are not much better in my area. If they feel like you wronged one of them personally, they will torture you. There was a gang in our local department that called themselves "the jump out boys" and their leader "one man game". Dude carried uzis and shit in his partol car. The kind of guy to hang a shotgun out the window of his car in a high speed chase to shoot at the other driver, shit like that. They are fucking cowboys and all their daddies are on the BOCC or donate huge checks to the police every month n shit. Its a sewer. They are just as likely to arrest you for a roach in your ash tray as the home invader you took down.
