Are there any actual new players?

I have a 50 Druid and a twink lvl 5 warrior and have grouped with a few real noobs at orc hill in Greater Fay. It’s fun and I enjoy helping and giving advice. There are a few bad apples out there just like anything else but far more friendly good folks willing to help! Jump in and get friendly with folks!

Initially played from launch until PoP. Started on green last week. Trying to relearn the game as quickly as possible. I still have some muscle memory - that was a huge surprise. Forgot how much of a grind it is to get out of cloth gear.

Everyone I know who had any interest is either player, quit, or waiting until about a month before Kunark.

actually retail TLP's have been taking everyones interest, there's absolutely no reason to play EQ1 when its more than 3 moths old, the endgame of EQ is terrible so everyone is waiting to jump on that new TLP so they can start over again, no new player will be joining green anytime soon

You can start all over again with an alt on green. If anything the TLPs probably send more people to to p99 than vice versa.

you can start over with 0 other players on a top ended server, thats not how it works, new players are not stupid. TLP are always mega packed when they first come out because everyone starts at level 1 and thats the only way a new player can enjoy eq1, p99 would have to add a new server with no transfers allowed every 4-5 months to stay on TLP's level of day 1 population
