We have seen laws in countries put in place where people have died over gaming. And those were in cases where the player had no reason whats so ever to do that.

The current list demands we stay there actively to click afk and has camps that can go 30+ hours. So would someone's family win in a lawsuite? Maybe not. Maybe so. But that would be a moot point.

I imagine the press would be terrible for daybreak and P99. Would Daybreak pull the plug on P99 to avoid that? Who knows. Would the government push laws to avoid that? Who knows.

Would it make sense to avoid a game mechanic that promotes that unhealthy behavior? I mean, I don't see why not. I am not saying give them away or make them easy to get by any means. But there is certainly a better way.

I would support this 100%

Just remove all legacy items and /list
Shut up hippie.

Not even the people camping the legacy items want them to be common. Perhaps especially them. What people are asking for is the classic drop rate and a humane system for the list.

They do have access to data that would show how long someone has been online and if they 1. Did nothing and 2. promoted a system to reward players for staying online and engaged for 50+ hours at a time.. i think they risk being held negligent and possibly liable.
this is so stupid

Yeah.. simmer down there champ.. I would 100% support the classic drop rate also...

See when someone supports something.. it doesn't mean that's the only option they would support... so jumping in with the name calling .. just looks silly.

There are alot of options that I think the community would support... But doing nothing? leaving it as is? Will get someone hurt.

These things are on literal 24/7 farm across two servers that will eventually become one, increasing the drop rate is a bad idea.

Sometimes you need to see/understand the bigger picture. If someone were to die.. we don't just get to sit around and go:

"lol natrual selection bro heuhueheuheuehue"

It will bring bad press to Daybreak and P99... there will be consequences. Maybe even a lawsuit - not saying they would win - but the point is it would bring unwanted exposure to p99.

The /list system is new and unique to p99 - its a staff created rule.. and it alone is already influencing player behavior to camp 40+ hours... or feel "pot commited" when they are in #1 position. If the end result of that is someone dying... that will be bad over all for the p99 community.

I'm just here to document so if it does happen no one can say "who knew... we had no idea something bad could happen..."

1 day, 4 hours, 50 minutes and 56 seconds between drops.
As someone who works in a law-firm. Any lawsuit about a person voluntarily sitting in front of their computer for a reward in a video game would be thrown out faster than your garbage on garbage day.

The fact you even responded to my sarcastic reply about this stupidity makes me really scared about the people that play this game.

Thank you for debunking this. It sounded incredibly stupid and illogical but I don’t have the knowledge to shoot it down myself.

We throwing out lootboxes being predatory also then? Just trying to draw the line of when an operator has to take some amount of responsibility for developing unhealthy or additive systems.
