I think it was more that most newcomers wanted to make classic fantasy characters. There were a lot of dwarves, elfs and barbarians on Brell at the start, very few dark elves and such.

I'm not sure what started it, but just before and leading into Kunark there was a big shift to evil races. I was one of them, swapped out my human paladin for a dark elf necromancer. Never looked back.
Before shrink was added ogres in dungeons where horrible.

On Saryrn we had NFP as auction zone and nobody ever complained. Evils hung out behind Jade and everybody was happy.

Yay for NFP! EC is teh suck.

Banks are fairly useless for trading purposes unless the trade spot is right inside of a bank. It's more convenient to create a trade mule.
Apologies, my assumptions are misguided due to primarily playing on red, where banks DO play a pivotal role in trading (bc you typically do not carry any plat on you)

Too far from a wiz/dru ring. Pass for me unless on a PvP server.

Both my original server (Tarrew Marr) and final server (Lanys on day 1 of opening) had EC tunnel as the trading ground.

For me, that's what classic is. EC tunnel bazaar.

I always thought the tunnel of North Ro would make more sense than the tunnel of East Commons... wthere is a port in-zone, the same safe tunnel, and the same distance to bank.

Why not Nro?
