Najena is such an underrated zone for XP. I hope it gets some play on green for groups. Great XP Bonus, some cool loots and an interesting mix of mobs (elementals, humanoids and undead) There is some mild annoyances though.
The Jboots drop in Najena buddy.
It will have 50+ people 24/7.

QFT

The vanilla with everyone finding where they can find blue / white mobs to fight when there are just tons of people is going to be so glorious. Gunna have to dig deep to find those noob mobs in nomansland zones.

I'd say starting zone applies to at least 12 when people start to get bind

Plenty of early plat to be made leveling on bandits, sash quest tough to beat.

If I were troll/ogre, I'd consider Lake Rathe bandits, nice spot next Rathe Mountains zone line. Can't do the sash quest but ogre merchants next to a bandit camp is pretty nice. Also a good lidzardman spot in Rathe Mountains near vendors, could also farm those big beetles but i'm not sure when they were added. Some other decent early-ish lizardman/orc camps in these zones. I assume all the prime spots will be shit shows early on, gotta start thinking about spots the masses won't run to. Not sure what these zones were like at launch though, might be completely different for all I know.

I use to consider places while leveling for a "no bullshit/out of the way" leveling guide for groups, sadly a lot of places were on Kunark.

IIRC, those Bandits actually do occasionally drop the sashes, so technically you could do the sash quest. The issue becomes that the sashes don't stack and it's a long run to Qeynos once your inventory is full of them...so if you're trying to min/max your EXP and cash per hour for instance, it might be better just to stay and keep killing bandits and selling their loot to the Ogre merchants instead of running to Qeynos. The camp at 7 is honestly one of the better camps in the game IMO because you can bind at the Lake Rathe Arena and you have merchants right there to vendor.

I meant from a troll/ogre pov, would be tricky turning in the sashes.

I'm having a seriously hard time deciding on whether to start in Kelethin or Qeynos as a half elf ranger. Faydwer is fucking boring but seems like there is better access to decent armor. I am SO TORN.

Not for a half-elf - they require medium sized armor and nearly every mob on Faydwer drops small armor. The only armor molds are for small sized toons, so your only option for armor, while staying on Faydwer is tattered/patchwork from the cats in steamfont.

Qeynos (with Karana as the deity) would be the best choice in my opinion...

Thanks, it completely slipped my mind that half elves wear medium armor so that makes the decision easy! Faydwer sucks anyway.
