Why would you expect to make a thread about stealing recharges and expect to be seen as the victim here?

I'm not the victim. It was a douche move. I am just appalled at how whiny and butthurt some people are, and the fact that they think that this stuff is bannable is ridiculous. They are completely delusional.

You bought items you knew someone was recharging. Items they likely camped or quested for hours. Why do you think that's okay?

Doesn't P99 have a "Play Nice" policy? Is buying items that someone else is obviously recharging "Playing Nice?" It wasn't like the guy innocently bought the stuff. He knew they were recharging and took advantage of the situation. Regardless of it "being dumb they were recharging in a public spot," that's still not a valid excuse to steal their stuff.

The Play Nice Policy very specifically does not cover recharging (or multi-quests): https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...d.php?t=132299

The reason is simple: A) both MQing and recharging are arguably exploits, but are sort of in a gray area, and B) dealing with recharging/multi-questing issues would be a drag on staff time.

So, both mechanics are kept in the game (on Blue at least, Red doesn't even allow recharging I believe), but they are very explicitly "do at your own risk" activities.

Dude...MQing is not an exploit lol.

Quests had that function written in specifically as evidenced by NPCs having text when you turn in individual parts of the quest.

It's a problem with the server and rules more than a problem with the players.

Exploit intentionally left in the game in the name of being 'classic'.

No rules or CSR support regarding it because it's an 'exploit' (even though at this point, it's intentionally there).

Raid scene pretty much requires usage of this mechanic in order to compete.

Players use the mechanic to try to compete, other players take advantage, no CSR support because fuck you, result -> forum drama.

Has happened before, will happen again until the rules change.

OP is a douche and a half but as others have said it is not against the rules to buy recharge items off a merchant. Surprised OP posted this though - was your reputation really worth a net and WC cap? If you had snagged the Locket of Escape it might be a worthy heist but you even suck at that. You fail at forum quest, Everquest and most likely life in general.

LOL I was thinking this exact thing. EQ is a huge time commitment and a game where server reputation actually matters in the success of your character. Considering this was such a very small haul to trash your reputation on..

I think OP just trolled.. himself.

Thanks for lettin' P1999 know yer server name, genius. Want to go ahead and list off the rest of your alts names, too?

Yeah, what an idiot openly showing his level 10 bards name.... Because that will totally affect his reputation on his main. Or he could just reroll his Bard and walk away with all the gear he legitimately got.
