Building a wall is socialist big government. The land along the border should be owned privately and the security of that land the responsibility of the land owner. If any trafficking occurs through that land then the owner is an accessory to a federal crime and should be charged appropriately.

The wall isn't going to stop 100% of it overnight but if you secure the physical border you can focus resources elsewhere to fight the other kinds of illegal immigration such as the one you mentioned.
