In terms of grouping, 55 is huge for bards. The difference between what a 54 bard without Cantana and a 55 bard with it brings to the group is pretty huge.

I also think wizard is when they get their first Kunark AE spells.. 52? You can quad before that, but the Kunark spells are just so much more efficient it makes a world of difference.

55 for warriors due to the aforementioned stun kick. Makes them a way better duo for grinding out to 60. Defensive is overrated until raiding at 60 imo since Evasive has a quicker cool down and is better for duo/group situations because of that.

56 for chanters because you can't mez yourself with mezmerization anymore and mezmerization is ez mode CC for lazy asses like me.

Monk is golden pretty much from low 20s to 60. Once you have mend and FD skilled up enough that they rarely fail it is just OP for the rest of the journey.

Druids are worthless and are never golden. Especially ones whose names start with "J" and end in "estuh".

55 for mages, because they're worthless except for coth.

Wizard I think 20 (self ports,) 29 (group ports aoe snare) and 51 are the biggest bumps. 34 is nice too for cof and harvest.

Shaman i think 24 (canni and regen) and actually 51 is a nice jump too with turgurs. Maybe one of the most powerful spells in the game and it's vendor sold. 60 of course is big too, but for a lot of shaman it's 60a (without torpor) and 60b (with torpor. )

With how EC is the dominant trade hub on this server I think 24 is a much more important level for wizard gating, because NK being your only antonica gate kinda blows.

interesting to see how vastly under-rated some classes are in this thread... Are some of you new to EQ?

It was at this point I decided to no longer be kind to the casuals as they have extreme short term memory. They did this to themselves, unfortunately.

Has to be Wizard at lvl 20. Finally getting to port and being able to do bread quest to snare/quadding levels is game changing.
LOL, doing the bread quest is not playing EQ. Quad kiting is also far from the most fun thing to do in EQ.

Wizards peak at Level 12. That's the level where your damage capability in comparison to the power level of things you're fighting is at its highest. SHOCK OF LIGHTNING!

It's arguably their best push spell too due to fast cast, low mana and no stun component.

So what’s “playing EQ” then? Grinding in KC, CoM, MM etc? LOL. Nah man, that’s your opinion. I’ll gladly chill and do the bread quest or quad when it comes to certain chars and being able to do other shit in the meantime.

Most people's top fun times in EQ tend to involve grouping. That doesn't have to mean grinding in KC, there's way more places to go.

As a Wizard, the power level you are able to provide to a group in terms of combat peaks at Level 12. It's downhill from there, especially as you get into the 40's and higher, as monsters continually get stronger in comparison to what your nukes can do.
