This is Failethe, and to start with I don't feel great about calling this guy names - that went over the line. However, he was pretty crap to me as well.

As for being a newb, yes I am one. I think I've played EQ for about 3 months total, and just came back from a 3-4 month hiatus a week or so ago. So yes, I am a newer player, I don't have 1 million plat stashed away, and yes I've learned I need to tag with a lower level spell now. If you didn't realize it, I spent pretty much 100% of my time grouping to hit 60, I do not have an alt, and now that I'm high lvl I wanted to try farming pure plat. Unfortunately, seafuries just got nerfed and I am completely sick of sebilis, so I decided to do HG. Feel free to offer suggestions of other plat farming spots for a 60 sham with meh gear.

I also really haven't tried to mess with logs at all as of yet - I just follow who gets aggro first typically on HG. Guess you'd have to look at logs to be certain but I'm going to be honest, I haven't done so. Feel free to teach a newb how to get some combat logs so they look nice. I've never really had to compete for mobs, so this is new to me.

So on to this guy - I am camping HG, he logs on. Proceeds to stand next to me and say something snarky. First HG, I clearly get first hit, he proceeds to attack it and then uses HARM TOUCH to steal the kill. That kinda pissed me off, but whatever.

Next HG, this guy stands next to me again, we both hit the HG at same time - I have no idea who got first hit in the parser, but I think it was my dog. Either way, pretty much same time hit. I burn it down with sham dd nuke i just memmed and then we go at it. So that's it.

Guy threatens to post a video online, proceeds to do so. Guess there are some flames. Look, I try to be civil at HG, and most people I haven't had a problem with. It's not like I'm KSing left and right. As for plat efficiency, I've been able to get 600p/hr when contested, probably if not contested could ramp that up to 750p/hr. It's not bad plat. It's better than CE on average, though worse than king on average. I did all the numbers, HG isn't top tier plat but its solid. Furthermore, its nice to do if you don't have a lot of time or are back and forth a lot (baby). I'm also trying to save up for a torpor, because being a poor shammy means I'm not op. I dont have epic, JBB, or multiple of my high end spells. Just trying to get some plat so I can actually complete my class.

Anyways, those are my 2c. Just wanted to share my side of things. I didn't do any reporting - he was an ass but not gona waste my time on it. Only reason I am here is because I was told there was a post blowing up about my epic KSing of HG....

Now we're stuck with angry washed up people that hate the game now after playing for years but still continue to log in for some reason, or troll the forums because that's the best entertainment they can get. Stop crucifying the victims, it doesn't make you edgy or cool. This guy is a recruit for anonymous, and although the guild is all but dead with all new leadership, I don't imagine this guy staying around for long.

There's nothing that guy posted that counts as anything besides a random FTE dispute which is -going to happen- in a highly contested plat farm zone. If he proved there was a prolonged period of harassment, like being purposely KSed over 20 or 30 minutes, then.. maybe. But seriously, what, two fights are being shown here? Fuck OP and anyone mindlessly defending him.

Just looked through the logs - another thing I'd like to point out is that misses are not shown. I'm fairly certain I had initial misses on both of these HG. So...the logs don't even tell the whole story.

I had spent a few weeks on and off hunting HGs. Not sure why I stayed around that long since it can be rather tedious when a lot of folks are there and even the "level appropriate" experience is pretty lousy.

That said, not once have I witnessed arguments over KSing or FTE issues. Seems the seafury nerf has caused Rathe to become a more toxic environment, which is a shame since HG cash is quite overrated unless you have the hill to yourself (which was rare enough before).
