Great, can't even escape Swish when you play on a different server...

I knew before I looked at this comment that it would be an angry one. I don't think red is for you Ravager, you'd break a keyboard [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Sad to say, but Swish is right. Red is better than Blue. Blue raid scene is absolute cr@p.

I just pulled 10 people off blue this week and they will forever now play on RED99.

-Camps are open
-People are friendly
-Items more abundant

Red has all the nostalgia and pixels of classic everquest, minus the variance and first to engage footrace nonsense that will keep you locked inside your house for years trying to obtain the best items. PvP is essentially additional content / depth that blue just can't provide. It helps you make friends and also enemies to compete with. What do you do on blue to resolve conflict? Stare at each other pointlessly until one of you gets bored and tabs out to watch porn, like seriously.

I tried Red over a year ago and there was some guy who kept camping my groups that happened in EC and Crush. After some persistence/he couldn't stay up all the time, me and others would level and he would come back on another appropiately leveled character to terrorize us.

Then there's all the insane banter in the world chat. and I think the pop hit 400 before the current population today, with even the GMs during a stream saying that one guild has pretty much turned the red server into the private playground and several guides have long since given up on that server.

Then I think there was an earlier attempt at some smaller guild trying to make their place on the server when the top guild decided to kill them en masse whenever they tried something, most notably a fear wipe at one point, all while smileing and doing a "GG guys you were sports about this!"

If you can promise me all that has changed, I might try red.

I mean the guys I was helping only encountered hostility ONCE, and are all around level 30 now. Simply told them to make friends with everyone, and your enemies will find you. You level faster on Red99, which negates the delays caused by PvP in my mind.

The same guys I brought over were amused by OOC more than anything else. It's not hard to /ignore the very few people you find annoying. Buying and Selling is made much easier on Red99 with global OOC at least.

Not sure what smaller guild you're talking about exactly, as it stands the top raiding guild on RED99 is very friendly - even in pvp - just so long as your guild doesn't employ underhanded tactics to contest content. i.e. training, dispelling mobs with out of range characters, and the like. We don't try to run anyone off, and we make up the majority of the server.

The idea of a top raiding guild gives you a whiskey dick? Hate to break it to ya, but you'll find one of those in almost any MMO.

The other guilds on Red99 do NOT have the leadership / desire / player base / infrastructure in place to put Temple of Veeshan on lockdown. That's not my fault.

I could care less what guild anyone joining from blue decides upon.

If going AFK in EC tunnel half the day selling Spider Silk is your thing though, by all means stay on blue and enjoy yourself.

Went down to the wire on my cleric when he was leveling through Kurn's tower...beat this wizard but not by much.

Was he salty? No
Did I give him shit for trying to beat me? No

The community isn't as bad as the forums might suggest <3
