The "light" value is an arbitrary assignment; 2 isn't necessarily brighter than 1. For example, Fire Beetle Eye is 12, but Greater Lightstone is far brighter at 11.

Gigantic zweihander. I remember because you could always tell if Karg had it if he had a light around him. They eventually put a lightstone in his loot table to make it impossible to tell without killing him.

Funny, I could swear the Breastplate of Ro was one of the brightest lightsources. I equipped it coming out of GFay in BB mountains and I could swear I heard a Kaladim dwarf guard yell "Turn off the durn'd light!"
