Mages are only good so that it isnt the same 5 fast people from each guild racing. It allowed more people to help , see a dragon , click this button.

The real fix is live FTE's and possibly 8hr varience.

KT engage was my favourite, that shit came in so fast.

4 hour variance and live engages would be even better. Enough mobs would pop on top of each other that mob distribution would spread out naturally too.

Hell make it 2 hour variance.

I think the title of this thread is misleading, because there really never was a time in P99's history that raiding has ever been great, unless you were in TMO for those 2 years that nobody bothered to even contest those shitheads.

CSG, Venerate, FoH are all on the line racing,trying while during MageQuest the barrier of entry is too high for those guilds to even bother to try

The solution has always been repops, which don't reward poopsocking. But for some reason the staff is determined to push pixels into the arms (feet) of the sockers.

It'd be so easy to code too. I don't know why this wasn't done 4 or 5 years ago. A couple hours of Dev time to save hundreds of hours of GM time seems like a no-brainer. I bet Haynar could write the script to do it on a napkin. It'd even be more classic than what is going on now.
