The public EQEmu login server runs an old and/or custom build that doesn't behave exactly the same as the one in available from the EQEmu repo. But yeah, not great.

I got away with testing against the public login server when I was figuring things out, zero crashes! ... that I'm aware of. In my defense, it was a bit of a pain in the ass to set up the local login server at the time.

Some productive thought: This issue occurred before around 2 weeks ago - a string of connections could not be made to EQEMU server. No thread was made about it but the issue was resolved within an hour of the first noticed downtime. This is most likely not a p99 server issue but an EQEMU client issue affecting multiple private servers.

Continue pinging login, and client should reflect update -- thanks.

Actually it was not an eqemu issue, I was able to log in on a different server.
