In fact, when you adjust for population size, there's a higher percentage of whites on welfare and/or living in poverty in america.

Another source showed about 50% of total black population used welfare in 2012, while white's about 5% (percentage of race population size). There is similar data for poverty rate demographics.

I agree it's not oppression. Blacks simply don't perform as well in society in aggregate. If someone runs faster than you, it's not oppression. You just can't keep up. Democrats definitely play this up for votes, but the fact isn't untrue.
