It's the idea that the Shaman needed it so he got it that I don't tend to like. It's in the spirit of NBG. I find it immoral.

He got it because the person who won the roll believed in NBG (and was nice, to boot). Nothing to do with the others at all.

He wasn't being very considerate towards the rest of his team that were grinding then.

He could of split that like 25k each for everyone. I'd be pissed if I were a group mate there.

Exactly. He chose to use his roll to give the spell to the shaman when he could have just EC'd the thing for 100k and pocketed the entirety. The rest of the group are owed nothing, as they rolled, and lost.
