You know... I actually sat there trying to sleep and felt like a dick. maskedmelon, you're way of thinking is exactly how I looked at it. I was going to aggressively play within the rules; I'm a non-practicing lawyer irl so when I see a law I push hard against it but not step over it. Tonight I thought I was being nice giving them such a large window - that's the level at which I was playing. However, to be honest, if I had been more... I guess kind or forgiving or less of a megalomaniac or however you want to characterize it, I would have just left them alone. I wanted to go to sleep and didn't because I got that kind of killer drive. My own sacrifice (in not getting sleep) ended up driving me to really have the rules enforced if that makes sense; I kept fantasizing of a green name popping up and laying his big dick of camp arbitration justice down and to revel in the glory. Just for the chance of having them realize they were wrong, I sacrificed sleep and probably was unnecessarily aggressive. Anyway, I believe I acted within the rules, but I was not a kind player so I'm asking forgiveness for my rudeness.

Either way you look at it, I'll apologize. Sorry you two BDA members for being a dick and pushing hard into a camp where you were probably just having fun with each other. Regardless whether I was able to get the camp within the rule set, I probably shouldn't.

I did learn one thing though, how to copy/paste in game from this, was typing shit out by hand up until tonight. Thought that's how people did it.

I officially am eating shit/crow and saying I was wrong.

My guess is because he doesn't like the horrendous mechanics of PvP on EQ, a game that was not intended to be PvP. What he does enjoy is the nostalga and pixel acquisition.

Do all 200 people from red post on the RnF forums instead of actually playing the game? Maybe swish is just such a loud voice that it feels like all 200 of you.
On a side note, Swish I'm so happy you're trying to convince us that you are developing a real life (travelling, attending social events, and even going to gym!) but to really convince us you're going to have to stop posting to the online elf simulator forums. I think that would be sufficient evidence.

How long did Chest wait before he took the camp from Nixxar? Less than ONE MINUTE. Less than the time it takes to relog a character! Chest lawyer-stole the camp because 45 seconds was TOO LONG, and now you're giving BDA 45 minutes!

So how does Chest handle the fact that the precedent he so publicly set is now being used against his own team? He says "tl;dr" and runs away from the fight he knows he can't win. He knows that Xetho is both in the wrong and an embarrassing rager so... suddenly out of nowhere... this pro-wrestler who has devoted his life to LAWYERQUEST now has no time for a legal battle.

You gave them 40 minutes. Your log proves it. Chest didn't give Nixxar even 40 seconds. He didn't wait 40 seconds for Nixxar's teammate to log back in.... he certainly didn't offer for Nixxar to summon in a guildmate to help him achieve Kill Force.

Despite any specific guild being involved, this is exactly what I thought but didn't feel like typing out. It seemed so familiar. If the mobs are spawned and sitting there and you are not killing them almost immediately upon spawning you relinquish your claim. It has been stated again and again on the forums every time something like this comes up. If you're camping something, keep it dead. It doesn't matter if you are trying to resuscitate your mother or your dog got hit by a car (or, you know, buffing someone leaving a camp). It may not make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but it's the way it works and it's not something new.

Yep. And Skotos' log shows that he waited AT LEAST 40 minutes... probably 45+ minutes...

Last week I had a camp taken from me because I left the placeholder up for 2 minutes. This was a level 50ish camp for an item worth far less than Holgresh Beads.

I didn't cry about it. I didn't make some embarrassing attempt at hurting a stranger's feelings by psychoanalyzing their childhood or whatever Xetho was doing there... lmao...
