Get to the zone you want to camp in and see if the camps are taken. This is the only way, time and time again proven to be the only way.
EQ =/= EZMODE. EQ = PAIN AND STRUGGLE AND SADISM, and EMUEQ is even more so. Accept it and you will be at peace. Struggle and you will sink deeper!

Lyyfeleech I'm disappointed to see you've joined the ranks of the anons. Just messin'. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
But seriously, can we revisit this issue? In classic you could /who all zone. It used to work on this server. Is there a reason it was taken out? Was it to accommodate raid guilds that don't want others to know where they're at? It's one of the most annoying things implemented currently and the absolute most nonsensical.

Hmmm, looks like I stand corrected then. But still, I'll plead for you to put it back in. With the increased server population there are fewer and fewer spots to get exp. Over 500 on last night and I had to run across 7 zones looking for open camps. *sad face*

/who all "zone"
3 people, non anon /tell persona "Excuse me, I'm considering moving to "zone"; could you tell me how many people are in the zone please?" /reply "There are 40 people in this zone." /tell persona "Thank you. I guess I won't come, then." Not a surefire way, but it gives you a better idea.

Roleplay and anon always hid what zone you were in. It was a key element of being in a raiding guild. If we wanted to know where a competing guild was, we didn't /who all temple, /who all kael, etc. We had to send scouts to various zones.
Allowing people to see roleplay people by /who all-ing a zone would cripple raiding guild competition. If the top guild can see where other guilds are at all times, experience and faster mobilization allows them to use other guilds' scouts/trackers to find raid targets and steamroll them. The ability to truly hide your location is a key strategy for lower tier raid guilds.
