So I found out that the person I was talking about was doing some sort of chain camping.

He would camp a mob, then he would go AFK and his friend would hold the camp for him until he decided to come back. Then before one would leave, another friend would come and hold the camp. What is the ruling on that?

Original Camper Goes afk. Camper Friend 1 holds camp. Camper friend 2 comes into the zone takes over, Camper friend 1 logs. Original Camper comes back for a second, goes AFK again.

Original Camper never left technically.

So that situation I am screwed right. AC in SRo camp.
Sorta off topic, but..

No, if you were in zone waiting at the camp location, you're next in line over the 'friend'. Once the original camper goes afk and ignores the spawn, move in, it's yours now.

Think you're incorrect on that one...

7. We do not have a rule for how a camp will be handed off to another player. It is recommended the player interested in obtaining a camp work that out with who is on the camp already.
*Example* Player a is on jboots, player b comes and sits and just waits. If player a wants to hand off to his friend rather than player b, he has that right. If player a wants to hold a list and give to the next player on that list, that is also his right. GMs will not moderate that unless player b can prove he was deceived by player a with how the camp would be handed off.

I was just about to post that Loke. Yeah, there is no set-in-stone way for you to get that camp, short of the guy already there giving it to you. And he doesn't have to, he can hand it off to guildies or friends all day and night if he wants to.

Sorry, but I don't buy the 'hand-off' rule. Sounds like a cheap way for a couple people to keep something perma-camped.

Take the camp once the first player leaves, to hell with what the replacement player thinks. You've been waiting patiently for hours for a shot at it, don't give up.

If I see people boxing I report it. It's disrespectful to the GMs because they came up with the rules and they expect the rules to be followed. It is cheating and it takes away from the social aspect of the game....
What is the evidence you, as an expert boxing reporter, base your report on?

there have never been so many women playing an mmo then on this server, much less wives...

or brothers and sisters and dads and heck soon we will have someone that has an ip exemption for his dog
Let me respond to your sarcasm.

We are all older now. We have grown up, knocked our bitches up, and have wives now. Family.

If you are a husband than you will know. Getting an hour to play is hard. yet alone the 5-8 hours EQ'ers love to put in at a stretch to camp or grind.

The only way to do this and not have a divorce is to get your wife and kids involved. Even if they arnt leet players like the rest of us. Even if they dont understand the mechanics or take it serious and go afk all the time.

This is why there are lots of wives.

Yes I understand that, but the point I'm trying to make is that even though groups/players sometimes do show those signs, don't jump to conclusions right off the bat without some deeper investigation of some sort...

A direct report leads to a GM popping in front of you while you're at a camp, or any activity for that matter, ports your group out and makes you do various tests to prove that you aren't boxing. This exercise gets tiresome because some douche bag thought you were boxing lol... it's like putting wheels onto a tomato, time consuming and utterly pointless.
Yeah, I bet it also gets tiring when you're boxing, huh

There is a real possibility that the person IS multi-boxing but logging on alts to get the loot on them

Fwiw (nothing) I agree with both of you! :P

Edit: I should also add: I was finally able to get my gf to play with me last night. Now does anybody have any tips on how I can make xp grinding fun? Apparently killing bats and rats for a couple of hours is just "boring" if you're not really a "gamer" that cares about leveling up. Please help, I don't want to have to find a new girlfriend!

Both my kids have become curious about what daddy's doing on his laptop. I'm thinking that mom telling dad to do more with the kids might fit in here [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
