Like Youlath said in the other thread - the opt in system is also a means of confirming a person's level so we can bracket this up. You can't opt in without going unanonymous and sending a message to the monitor, at which point the monitor will check your level.

I have been waiting for a good opportunity to dlevel my rogue to 30 as a twink. Now I can finally top the leaderboards with 0 skill and win at life as we know it.

No. I'm trying to set this up so there is no difference in scoring beyond the initial point distribution by level. If someone wants to take their 3 points as a level 58 and delevel to level 10 and start killing noobs for a headstart on the level 10 bracket, that is their prerogative. I'm not interested in making such distinctions.

I try to remind people of this, and even sometimes have to remind myself: Points and Yellowtext aren't precious. They're part of the game. It's when people start putting themselves up on some elitist pedestal that this shit gets stupid. Nobody truly cares if you or anyone dies except stupid psychos like Burgerking. It's all in good fun for most people.
