On a more serious note, as I posted before, I could find no evidence of meat dropping pre-Velious.

Here's some of the evidence I found that seems to be an indicator it did NOT drop -

"It was October 31, 2000 and i start hearing tells about a **** water dragon i asked what was up. This guy Faydedar pops up right out of the Lake of Ill Omen in Kunark. There were also Bloodgills(goblins red to me at 29) running around apparently he brought friends. He died with much hard work and many deaths, so many deaths that even the sky was blood red no joke. After the zone killed him the area was covered with bodies hilarious there were some clerics giving rezs but i didnt get one oh well. This guy summons as i was summoned from the lake shore and he was busy killing the guards at the entrance to Cabilis( i am Iksar Monk). Yes he was on land chasing around some caster class. When he died there were 131 people in the zone from low level teens to high level 50s. I was lucky enough to get a chance to loot this guy. Exactly the same loot as one of the dragons; Dragon Scales, Dragon bone bracelet, some high level spells, a spear of some sort, and some saltwater. It was just a blast. I hope if this was a GM event that they do this again!"

Seems identical itemized to nagafen, but doesn't mean he doesn't have something unique that's pretty rare off him."

"The reason that you can't bind there anymore is because that you used to be able to bind there but they changed it. I bound there be4 they changed it. He always despawns after a hour. He has been killed on a server. I saw a pic of him dead. (YAY! Take that you lil freak!) As for 50+ ppl ready to go, when It says that they are gonna repop the zone, you can get yer guild there within like 40 mins and then go after him.
Oh, and he drops the same stuff as Vox/Naggy, so if yer guild can kill him every day, not only will ppl who have been killed by him will be grateful, but everyone will have onbe of the those Vox/Naggy items. "

"I believe that this fellow now drops a combination of Naggy/Vox items, including the books needed for the FA quest. This was done, of course, so that level 53+ characters who are no longer able to kill the dragons themselves will still be able to earn a Fiery Avenger of their very own."

"From what I have put together he does exist and his path takes him near the good side of the zone. He will spawn, travel and despawn an hour later from all accounts I have read.

His loot table is similar to the dragons (Vox, Nafagen).

I have no desire to see this beast as I am bound on the spires and have full access to the room below. I do not believe I am safe up there as I have also read he will cast at those flying over the water as well as in the water."



Sooooo, to recap -

- Not a single post above pre-Velious meants that he drops a meat. Several of the posters mention, in detail, exactly what his loot table is like. There is absolutely nobody commenting - "he drops an odd meat that nobody knows that to do with".

- No reference to the meat anywhere in wayback or google pre-Velious.

- Meat is numbered in sequence with Velious-only meats, a good indication it was designed at the same time as Velious meats and itemized with them.


Conclusion - I can't see anyway that the meat should be dropping from him pre-Velious, there should be a post about the meat, an unfinished quest, SOMETHING - there is nothing. Ergo I don't think it drops.

He probably doesn't drop the meat pre velious but these alla comments are just awful and I wouldn't trust any of them for remotely accurate information.
