Is there much trading on the server or do you just pretty much wear what you earn?

It is easy to see why level 60s, with epics and high end gear would not want to swap to red because they think they are losing everything and thinking of all the time and effort itll take to get back to where they were with all the camp checks and such. Only they should realize on red there are no camp checks, most zones are for the taking. Get a group and go do what you like when you want wherever you want, If someone is in your way you kill them or run them off.

I am not in holocaust, But when he says VP loot will be rotting again soon enough he isn't lying. 1-60 for a power player is cake, 1-60 for a casual is 2, maybe 3 weeks at best. Epics are a joke, Cleric/Rogue/Monk/Ench all support/dps classes very easy to knock them out. There is no wait list on Verina Tombs or drama because XYZ guild stole her spawn while you were on it. There is no FTE or hard poopsocking ontop of a boss hoping you get FTE or whatever the hell blue uses.

Judging by your magelo link with gear I can see why you don't want to leave blue, Everything you have invested is here. And I won't lie to say that getting each and every piece of that gear again won't be a pain in ass, SK epic/sow sword etc are still hot commodities on red. But even if you had a quarter of that gear not even a half of it on red, You would be a beast in PVP.

But then again PVP isn't for everyone, Nor is red99. You need a thick skin to deal with some of the few annoying trolls that can be solved with a simple ignore. You need to be able to eat a death because some level 30 epic rogue with a fungi/cof and 200k+ more in gear just ganked your entire group without throwing a hissyfit and giving up. Because it only takes an hour or two and your out of pvp range to them.

Clerics, Enchanters, Shamans are in huge demand on red and will always find a group. More so if you play at the right hours or make friends.

You raise some solid points in your post.
But this paragraph you start off with just misses the point of why I never made the switch. (I tried twice... got to level 19 at launch, and got another character to 50 about a year later).

It's not all about loot for me!
I don't give a shit if I can get full VP gear in 2 weeks. I play on Blue because my buddys are here. We've gone on crazy adventures, we've poopsocked for hours, we've gotten first kills together (god those first-time guild boss encounters with your newly formed ((or newly-able)) guild are sweet), we've gone PH after PH with no named spawn, we've died and we've rezzed, we've gone out of our way at 4 in the morning to get a corpse back, even though nobody wanted to do it. Some of us have been playing together for 3-4 years now...

Even though I barely play any more, I always run into old friends I can have meaningful conversations with any time I log in. Kinda like you just got back to your old neighborhood bar that your hometown friends still visit.

It's a great feeling that Red will never match.

.
I know people think the easyness of red is a good thing. But there are those that dont. Why would anyone want to be able to level to 60 in 2, maybe 3 weeks at best, and basically have Epic handed to them? Really does sound terrible.

I was told wizard so that's what I made. I'm only level 10. But already I have the tools to run (Shadow Step and Gate) like the coward I am .
