I remember hearing about a "merger" through the community and shot it down as it circumvented our recruiting process and did not represent Transcendence. As i recall (looking at the old discussion) Divinity would have had to apply to join just like anyone else and follow the same recruiting standards just like everyone else for it to have happened at all. Divinity refused that. Divinity is a FINE guild and i have alot of respect for them and for what they have accomplished. Quote:

You're downplaying how much Transcendence wanted to merge with Divinity (and for a short time you were essentially merged with your joint raids). Many friends in Divinity were expressing concerns to myself about the merger, saying they'd leave if it happened.
If anything, they shot you guys down.

I had less of a role in the guild at the time of the "supposed merger", but I can tell you that Daydrem brought it to our attention and we as a guild decided we wanted to progress through the game with a Divinity tag. We even lost a few great players because of our decision. I'm not trying to monger anything, just stating how we felt about it at the time. There was certainly a lot going on behind the scenes at this time, and because I wasn't an officer until about a week or so after this, I wasn't involved in any officer discussion.

As i said before I heard about it and did not support a merger. You keep using "shot down". If it was shot down that means from the time it was even suggested it was immediately removed from discussion. As i recall there were MANY MANY discussions about it and MANY MANY considerations given to the whole idea. But when i stepped in and layed out how it would have to work from the Transcendence side as "mergers" where to me "Communist" the idea then seemed to die. Stop trying to smear and make it look like Divinity held some kind of superiority over the discussion. It was something people (both in Trans and Divinity) felt was of mutual benefit but ultimately did not work.

As far as I know, Not a single Divinity member has ever left to join Trans. If one has, I'm unaware of it. If anything, they have left to join IB. No disrespect or anything to Trans, but saying we were under a 'dual tag' is incorrect. You did your thing, we did ours, and we joined up a few times for Fear and MM is all. Rogean or Nilbog asked if we were raiding with Trans during the GM event in Qeynos, and we said no. From then on we were recognized as one of the 'Big 3'.

#1.) Suck a dick, bitch. #2.) Trans did in fact recruit in serverwide /ooc. #3.) I never .. ever .. applied to trans, I went from Rusty Long Swords to Fine Steel Long Swords to Inglourious Basterds. Every one of those guilds was head and shoulders above trannyscendence in terms of ethics, skill, and cool factor. you can lock my knob with your insinuations, bitch - if yer gonna say something, say it straight up and don't be a bitch about it, bitch. #4.) How's exile going for you? Heard you're a big shot on some other server now.. Does that make you feel good about yourself? Do you exploit game mechanics as a GM there too?
