OOT AC is pretty poopsocked nowadays.

I tried to get a pair for my alt and there was a line 7 people long at 4:30 AM. After about 12 days of trying to just get the camp with no luck, I finally got the camp with no one else being interested in camping it. In less than 1 hour I had 3 AC spawns; the next day I got the camp again and got another one to spawn in about 5 ph's. Needless to say I won't ever have to camp AC ever again. First time in a while that I've ever had that much luck while camping something like that.

My point is that I'm glad I was persistent in this case. If the OP is as well he will eventually get a pair(or pairs) for himself.

Seafury island is pretty ruthless, though.

I would consider them shit out of luck if they log off. Once a person is out of the zone/off line they no longer have the camp. They can still loot whatever it was, but that's the choice they made.

No idea how the current guides are doing it. I think other instances when this came up we ruled this way so everyone was on the same page.

Honest question about storing rings on corpses. If a solo camper kills an AC and logs off to log onto an alt to loot it, I get the fact that the loot is theirs even if they logged off. They killed it, it's theirs, server rules, etc.

But the moment they log off to make the switch, isn't that the end of their camp? If a person was physically there waiting for the camp and the logging happened, by server rules, doesn't the camp becomes theirs right at that moment?

Interested on ruling on this.

It's in the updated server rules.

It should also be noted that if you camp out or leave the zone, you have forfeited a camp

So I got to AC Camp and I sit there waiting while some DRUID is camping the AC. Mind you I'm on a first run toon and actually need the boots. So I wait dude won't respond to any tells. I'm talking with another guy in the zone that I just met saying I think this guy is a bot because he won't respond to any questions. He gets AC to pop and the dude I'm talking to trains him to see if he is a bot or what the deal is. I didn't put anyone up to anything or really know what he was doing. Anyway after he kills AC he petitions the guy that trained him(fine). Then he proceed to bring another guy over and stay in camp and say that the AC is still camped. Other dude wasn't there waiting while I was there and they seems like they were DC or something possibly IP exemption. Am I just a crybaby for being upset about this? I mean I'm level 53 and still don't have near enough money to buy jboots, but should people be able to just keep the camp on lockdown all day as they bring everyone and their brother over to repeated take camp when someone else is sitting there waiting?
tldr

AC Camp etiquette

chase person out of zone

take AC

So horribly written that I'm not sure I understand what happened. But if you're saying that the guy brought his friend to the camp after he was done with it then I'm pretty sure that's well within the rules. Sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear.

This may come as a shock to many people, but no one has exclusive rights to any "camp." If you do not believe me, then ask a GM. The rules are simple, the players in dispute must work out some kind of "gentlemen's agreement." But essentially, disputing parties must share the spawn. Party A gets it one time then party B gets it the next. It is ussually best to group up with each other until both parties get the drop

So instead of asking to share, or calling in a GM to make people share like in Kindergarten, cooperate with each other and make everyone's life that much easier, and their camps that much shorter.

Be sure to remember the "Play Nice" rules, and rotate spawns so everyone gets a chance at exp here.

I think rather than the OP saying its not within the server rules he's saying the server rules if this is allowed (essentially one person with 2 accounts or using corpses permalocking up a rare camp) is fucked? no?

Did you play on FV with a character of the same name?

5 years on live. 2 on P99. None of my characters have ever had the boots, nor do I care about them.

Nobody needs the boots. Not him. Not you. Lots of people want them, but that's not the same thing.
