Rangers are versatile, that's pretty much it. There will never be a job where you say "ok we need a ranger for this!" but they're good for making up the numbers! XD

Only roll a ranger if you have a thick skin, and keep in mind this "thick skin" is strictly proverbial, it won't save you from dying to a fire beetle XD

They did get a bit better when they get their backstab-like nuke at 49.

butttt... Its also sad that my ranger was absolutely horrible dps because I couldnt attack anything with my fluxblade = /

It is all I know and will play.
The versatility as well as the ability to solo if you want makes it the choice for me.
