1. What advantage does the elf/shorty team have? The only pullers for pve will be gnome necros.... dumb.

2. Preventing evil team from having bards will create a similar, retard-level imbalance.

3. under this scenario, the human team is way over powered.

Human team isn't overpowered because most of the good looking races and "best" races for each class are all on the other teams. Vanity and min/maxing will put the team of men in last place

This seems unlikely, but ... is it necessary? I'm running the "normal" client under Wine on a Mac with no problems.

Ok, one small problem - if I set and ignore the game for a while; 15 mins or so; it sometimes freezes up with the spinning beachball. So I avoid doing that. But generally during "normal" gameplay it works very, very well.

I meant because it is much more classic graphically and can be used on pc. Not likely anytime soon though.

Ah, cool; I didn't realize that. I only had the current mac and the 1984 mac so didn't have one then.

This. Despite the humans having access to ALL classes, its balanced due to aesthetic preference many have towards Elf/Short races and the desire many have to min/max on an individual basis and play a ogre warrior, iksar monk, troll SK, halfling druid, or whatever they feel is the best combination for their play style, etc.
