Exploiting an IP exemption would include 2 boxing or using it for some pve advantage. Don't see either here.
You are really retarded. IP exemptions are given for ONE reason, multiple people playing from one IP. Any use of the IP exemption other than multiple people playing simultaneously is an exploit.

I believe they should be removed completely since, as Jeremy just pointed out, even if you have one legitimately you still gain an advantage by /quit'ing and logging in.

Have two people in one house wanting to play? Ah well, find another game. Thank all the rampant cheaters for abusing everything they can.

So how long do you have to wait for it to be legit? Tons of people have legitimate exemptions and constantly fast-switch - I see it all the time. How long must one wait to not be "exploiting" when eventually logging on their trader 55 seconds after /quitting on their main?

I'll eventually get my exemptions back - I will eventually need them. And I guess I'll just camp then to be beyond reproach
Sort of answered your own question huh. You use the /camp function as it is intended to be used. And if you dont like the chance of crashing you can always use '/camp server' to alleviate the possible crash at character select. Besides if you /camp server you will have no lockout even w/o an exemption and can log in any of your other toons as normal.

Great, no one here is upset because you use your exemptions legitimately at all. Even if you used them legitmately 99.999% of the time, its still that .001% that is exploitative. Its 30sec, wtf is the big hurry anyway? It's such a small pause to have completely avoided all of this...

It's just more work and ultimately irrelevant. They could easily make it the same cooldown for everybody if that's how they wanted to enforce it. Nobody ever said "don't fast switch." And everybody does.

This is what your argument has degraded into; really?

30sec is not 'more work' and its definitely not 'irrelevant' (its kind of the whole point of this/other thread/s) its a pause that every other player has to deal with, and you aren't special. If the staff wanted everyone to be able to quick switch, everyone would have exemptions. As everyone doesn't have innate exemptions, and as Ambrotos/IP exemption request form already says, the exempt status is not to be used like this, it is for multiple people accessing the server through the same router.

Hey look I'm not arguing, just discussing it. I'll go along with whatever happens, I just hope that there's fair enforcement of whatever they decide is the hard and fast rule regarding the fast switch.

30 seconds is the world to any raiding guild on this server. Every member of TMO knows this and will fight tooth and nail to get/retain an IP exemption regardless of their true need for one.

Find a way to add the 30 second lockout to IP exempt account or do one of the following:

1. Remove all IP exemptions.

2. Remove the 30 second lockout from all accounts.

3. Don't do shit and allow cheating shitcunts to ruin this server more and more every day.

I know which one the guys running this server will choose, do you?
