It is not a conspiracy really, nothing to do with the staff.

R99 raid content is dominated by one guild, just like Blue is dominated by TMO. Since its a red server instead of being happy to raid hate/pof/sky like non TMO people do on blue they mostly quit which results in reds lower population.

So ideas were floated to help R99 population. Alot of reasonable ideas are out there. Like making it less red so blue players might want to escape the over population of blue and other players. The goal is/was 300 pop a night, it was about 140-170 a night so we are not talking about a massive influx of people.

A small group of exiles of the server who had been beaten every which way started a campaign to beat the top guild. Since they knew they could not do it in game they took for forum questing and talking with gms etc. They wanted to get a wipe or new server which they knew would destroy the existing server.

Sirken took up their side and started talking to Rogean and nilbog. So they got talked into this new server with the total intention of its only goal of destroying R99.

R99 can be fix with some small easy changes. The new server is not needed right now as my topic states.

It would seem that they believe there is an untapped population that desires a certain EQ pvp experience that r99 doesn't fulfill and that a team server would. I think it'll flop just like r99, but thats just me.
