and if you're actually saying OoT (or any non-gold-box-zelda) was a good game, you're a 3 year old.

In no order:
Shadowrun (Genesis) Link's Awakening (GB, not the crappy color remake without the rad warp glitch) Gears of War Everquest (pre-Luclin) Legend of Mana

haha links awakening. Loved that game, I could not get past the second castle the room where you have to kill 3 mobs in order to open the door. I tried everything but still couldn't get it, but on the back of my gameboy there was a sticker "Need help? 1-800..."
I spent well over $75 talking to the nintendo hotline figuring out that game, anytime i came to a block id call. Bad habbits im full of em | ||

Is Legend of Mana = Secret of Mana? And whoever mentioned Legacy of Kain, that's another one I need to play.

1. Dungeon Keeper 2
2. Deus Ex 3. Everquest 4. Starcraft 5. Planetside Honorable mentions: Heroes of Might and Magic III - I literally spent so many hours of my life playing that game, and I have a love/hate relationship with it now Sid Meir's Civilization - All of these games are fantastic Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Super Smash Bros/Super Mario Kart for drunken fun with friends

It might be a little obtuse without having any nostalgia for it and just kind of knowing how things work but once you figure it out it can be a ton of fun. I love that setting and still go back and play that emulated on my PSP once a year or so. Can't wait for Shadowrun returns. If that game disappoints me I don't know how I'll be able to go on. Legend off Mana is an offshoot of the Secret of Mana series. Another kind of open ended RPG. It's basically a non-linear series of short stories all set in the same weird world. It doesn't have a typical band of teenagers save the world storyline like every other boring ass JRPG. All kinds of wacky crafting subsystems and pet breeding and stuff. Combat is more side-scrolling than 3/4 top down like Secret of Mana (think Golden Axe/Streets of Rage style).

I loved legend of the dragoon because it was the first game that I ever played. It was my very first video game. I admit the plot had lots of problems, but i loved the shit out of the gameplay, and the powerful attachments I had with the characters. When one of them dies I got sad, when one of them betrays the group it feels like I got backstabbed by the same person. It was the first and only game I have ever become emotionally attached to. I have never felt a very wide range of emotions playing any other game. Fucking love the goosebumps I get loading it up.
