Both nihilum and azreal have alot of cool people , but both have toxic leadership and most of their members are stoned idiots or losers and have no direction , morals or shame.

My best advice is not to take this server very seriousley and focus on leveling up IRL like me , youll sleep like a baby.

I found some of your past actions to be immoral, but this doesn't mean we can't be friends. As far as the saint thing goes, I'm hoping someone will make a martyr of me and really get this thing going. Pretty sure Heartbrand has already volunteered.

If you're in the market for a prophet, why not give me a go? My administration and I have progressive proposals that, if passed into law, would increase server population without bogging down the economy further with dependance on foreign currencies.

As a new player on red, I was also leaning towards applying to Azreal, mainly because I have a natural inclination to side with the "underdogs" (e.g. I was in Zeph from ToV to the guilds death back on VZ). This is interesting to me. I wonder what would happen if Azrael enforced a strict "no douchebag" policy. Would they really find themselves unable to raid? Because my experience was similar to ^this, and it almost pushed me to Nihilum too.

Not to be condescending, but I feel that you all have succumbed to the aesthetic, and hedonistic. There is infinite beauty and pleasure in Norrath, but it would probably be wise to remember that reality is distorted by our senses. When I finally decided to stop letting the low population scare me away from red, I came here with intentions of fighting the nefarious <Nihilum> tyrants. But then I read all of this forum drama. And it wasn't just the usual trash talk that you find on pvp boards; these people had actually stripped gear, deleveled and deleted characters. Players like this Heartbrand are appalling, and have such senses of entitlement that I can't understand why any self-respecting guild would allow them to wear their tag.

I do this thing where I romanticize everything. Maybe it makes me a geek, but I guess I never got over being a weird debate kid in high school that did a lot of acid, played EQ and believed in things. Here in EQ, I'm a princess. My romanticized ideal princess. I won't get into what that means, but I can't join your guilds. Just as on VZ, while I attended their raids sometimes, I never could join Aduentus.

I have hopes of one day fighting "the good fight" here, but too much of what goes on (on all sides) is petty, immature and sometimes even immoral. There is no good fight; none of you act admirable or dignified. All sides are griefing the population away instead of nurturing it, and I'm convinced that a good many of you are masochists.

That's not to say that you all as individuals are like this. Many of you are wonderful people, and I'm glad to have met you. But it's up to the guild leaders to uphold certain standards, and they've chosen dragon loot over self-respect.

This is my experience as a new player on red99 over the past two months:

While I was leveling, Nihilum was the only guild remotely nice to me. Twainz, Node, and Strydur were all exceptionally cool to interact with. They would answer my questions and help out however they could.

I have been trained and griefed multiple times by out of range players. All of the griefers I have encountered were Azrael or affiliated with Azrael. All of the hate tells I got were Azrael. Most of the OOC trolls are sided with Azrael. I only know a handful of Nihilum that speak in OOC, and it's usually unbecoming bickering.

I had one positive interaction with Azrael. I got stuck in a sticky situation by waltzing in on an Azrael raid. They killed me initially, but they allowed me to "loot and scoot." That was really cool of them. I remember Noah and Brennard being really nice about it.

I have never been mad about PVP interactions. It sucks to get smacked around or blind sided while leveling, but that is the nature of PVP. What does bother me is griefing without reason, exploiting, and account stealing. Azrael and Nihilum push back and forth. Both sides cast stones. I don't know the whole situation. Most of these guys know each other from long before this server started. I can't really judge the situation.

To me, Players like Heartbrand are repercussions of people doing rotten things. Heartbrand has only ever been cool to me, but he can dish it out if he chooses. Honestly, sometimes it's nice to see Heartbrand push around the people who grief on a regular basis.

What matters to me is player interactions. Who seems like a nice guild to group and raid with? I had to go with Nihilum. I'm sure Azrael has some cool people, but I haven't met them.

TL;DR: Both Azrael and Nihilum have done some crappy things. Most of these guys have the "they would do it to me" mentality, and they have had bitter interactions for years. Don't count out a guild because of the actions of a few. Take your experiences and decide what guild suits you. My guild is Nihilum.

(yea the fuck right, even if i had any, why would i give to some dude i don't even know?) literally 1 week later, heartbrand stripped every toon he had access to, in addition to guild bank, of <red dawn> (of which he was a CO-LEADER of) and switched over to Nihilum.

Nizzar has been frapsed using MQ2. Of course none of these guys will admit it.. but they are RMTing, MQing, and immersing themselves like they got cement blocks chained to their feet.


Most nihi are fine. but leaders are scumbags. Azrael, you might not like a guy or two, but the guild and its leadership are legit. Don't know who did you wrong, but they probably didn't warp, /face, or train and instaplug ontop of you.

Every single part of this post is complete and utter bullshit. When I came back I saw Vae Victus, another samwise nihilum feeder guild, and decided I would turn it into a real guild that could compete with nihilum. I power leveled every newb I could find making unrest the de facto headquarters of the guild, and tossed out tons of shit to random newbs I had from months of guk farming. I would even farm all the wisdom casters those kithicor one hand blunt weapons with wisdom.

Eventually as the guild got bigger I decided it would be easier to consolidate all my random shit on one char who I called red dawn bank and have this be our banker should we end up killing big bosses and what not. Everything on that char however was mine, with the exception of a couple shit spells of literally zero value that people donated, three gems from hate a diamond and two jacinths, and a staff of the undead legions from Draco no one wanted. When the guild broke up I handed out the diamond to Larsen because he was a big time team player who showed up to everything, and the jacinths to bandius and someone else who I honestly can't remember. The staff literally no one wanted and I couldn't even give it away after the guild dissolved and still have it I believe.

I lost tons from the guild because it was all mine. I gave away two tcrowns, multiple pairs of gebs, tons of resist gear, plat, smrs, etc. etc. Fuck, I decked tina out when she rerolled cleric and even gave yaks and shit to her warrior which were worth a nice amount back then. For anyone who thinks I took the guild bank I would kindly ask them to get some proof of items donated to the bank that were stolen. The sky bank still exists with all its shitty isle 1-4 loot and per prior posts is still open to azrael, in fact I gave out a drop from PoS to sickpuppy from it a month ago.

I don't know what strippings you're talking about, I had access to wanyo, basiah, and cheeseycakes, I never logged on wanyo or basiah and cheeseycakes I used to port and looted him the sky helm from isle four. I wouldn't even need access to a Druid because I had zibby so your story makes zero sense, and thank god we had zibby because everyone in the guild was too incompetent to get ports or show up to raids on time, it took hours to form up, something azrael still suffers from.

I'm glad they've given you the koolaide over there and that you're drinking it hard as fuck, and I understand facts are never as exciting or interesting, but I had to set the record straight one last time.

Sounds like freez playing lite if it happened in all honesty, not sure what else to tell you I never see my own guildies griefing lowbies like these forums claim we do all the time.
