^ For what it's worth, I agree that there are several tiers of offensiveness here. Even though I agree that many of the names on the OP's list are guilty of "breaking immersion", I'm not personally one that gets upset about it. But if the OP does get get upset about it, that's his right and his business.

The tier of offensiveness I do object to, and will continue to speak out against, are names like the ones you mentioned. Just yesterday a toon named "Buttnugget" joined my orc2 group. I don't feel like looking at that name for hours or dealing with a person who would choose that name, I don't care how good a player they are. If that makes me uptight, controlling, or whatever label some of you want to apply, so be it. It's like I said in another thread — population is starting to explode on P99 and we're at a crossroads; we can either let the kiddies run rampant with disgusting names or we can set a firm policy now. Some of you act like it's a power-trip because we want to apply standards, and I say baloney.

I still don't understand why people care so much about other people's names.

I mean, yeah, if you have kids who play or want to watch you play or whatever, you don't want them to see names like "ANALJIZZLASER" but honestly, how small of a fraction of names that get nerfed are anywhere that that level?

Let's see the current naming policy be actively enforced. If enough people get their names changed, there will be enough motivation to get the official naming policy updated.
