Weird ruling on a dispute last night. We formed a group in Seb, did a cc. Guy we knew wasn't in crypt was calling crypt, so we checked it out and it was full spawn. We cleared our way in, cleared crypt, started toward emperor. There's a necromancer feigned along the way to emperor. He's claiming the camp, but he's not the guy calling it in ooc. We continue clearing the full spawn. Emperor is up, it appears a group wiped on him and the necro feigned. Necro starts drama in ooc.

We continue clearing through another cycle. We clear emperor room for the second time and head back to crypt. The wiped group is back on their feet an hour and forty minutes after the wipe. A GM or guide appears. The necro claims that they've been there the entire time "sitting out" while they wait for a ruling. My group got booted out of crypt.
Running over a pug that wiped. You guys sound like the TMO of the exp scene

Don't be like that in a contested camp like crypt if you wiped and took 40 minutes to come back that camp is open.

Is there a standard timeframe on the "if your group wipes the camp is open" rule? There fucking should be. Shit happens, sometimes a group that can and has handled a camp gets wiped, and I don't think that should mean they lose the camp. Bullshit for people who've been camping something for hours to lose it because the enchanter got resisted and died and the rest of the group went down with him.

Back in the day I had Luckayy and his group take a derv camp in wc from me and my guys within 30 seconds of wipe. We politely asked them to leave because we were there first and he went through the "you wiped it's the rules" "get out now" "reporting- sirken inc" routine so fast I'm pretty sure he had it macrod. Fuck I'm still mad about that rule-lawyering horseshit

To clarify, what I mean about standard timeframe is, ok your group wiped and has been out of camp an hour, you lose it. But if the group can get back in there in 10 minutes, I think it's bullshit to snatch it. Pretty lame, Milhouse.

We asked for a camp check, someone called crypt, we had the rogue go check it out. Finished assembling our group, started fighting down, called for another camp check (we knew no one was down there) crypt was called again. Not by the necro, we faught all the way down, even through the undead, crypt was spawned so we killed all the mobs. Started heading toward emp and the necro claimed he was camping it. Although he didn't/wasn't killing any mobs.

We didn't bully anyone out, we didn't leapfrog anyone. We arrived at a full spawn with no one there killing it and claimed our camp. Then got told to leave by a GM.

Tell the whole story. The rogue of their group in crypt asked for assistance from the rogue in your group. The rogue had a rezzed lined up and asked him to drag it to that cleric. The rogue in your group dragged that rogue to the entrance and dumped the body there so you guys could stall them and run down to crypt. Unbeknownst to you guys the necro was already there waiting on their groups rogue to bring the clerics corpse to him in a safe spot.... So he watched everything the rogue did and then what your group did trying to steal the camp from a group that would have been back up in 5 minutes if the rogue in your group wasn't a douchebag trying to steal the camp.

Wait so the A-Team rogue dragged your bodies to the entrance, and you are upset about this? And furthermore that this caused you an hour of delay? I mean if he had dragged your corpse underneath the chef that would be one thing, but . . .

I like how you brought it to rants and flames and left that little gem out in your story though. The GM ruled clearly... Their rogue still got back down to camp within 20 minutes of the wipe while the necro waited. You guys had just got to the camp yourselves when 2 people from that group were back in camp ready to rez the bodies there. YOUR group were pulling mobs near the corpses so they waited to rez so they wouldn't get low health aggro from your adds. Their group leader (the rogue) petitioned instantly when he saw you guys stealing mobs from their camp. The GM came looked at the logs and saw they had only missed 1 cycle of mobs since their wipe before both the necro and rogue were back in camp ready to recover when you guys were on top of them trying to force them out of camp. I say good job by the GM. You guys don't get to bully camps from people.

Also I'm hearing the rogue was Powafull, not in the A-Team. I'm not a huge fan of him but I still think its hard to complain about a rogue dragging your corpses to the entrance.

No it wasn't an A-team rogue it was some unguilded rogue. It wasn't my corpse. The rogue had previously been in crypt checking it to see if it was open by the Name of Powahfull. He was asked and agreed to drag it to a cleric waiting. Instead he dragged it and dumped it intentionally to stall recovery.
