Trust me. everyone has 3 years to try green.
Every year is a new expansion aka a bump in population.
Just don't miss the kunark or velious launch. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Anyone else dealing with this? How do you cope
I figured this out years ago. The key is to realize RL is always more important.

People who know how a story ends enjoy the story more.

Obviously I do not have the same amount of free time I did when I was 11 and homeschooled. However, partly because I’m an adult and “better” at games but mostly because of the amount of knowledge we have about the game, it doesn’t feel like I’m missing out on anything. We know the zones, the mobs, the raids, the timeline, the expansions. I know I won’t be a first for anything, or in some top guild. I’ll die a lot and it’ll be slow. I won’t keep up with content. I’ll be a mediocre wizard. But because I know all this, I’m enjoying the story we’re all in and my part in it.

It was so crowded this weekend the only thing you missed was stress and frustration. I found it much better to play off hours. I played all Sunday night and found that from 7-10 pm was brutal, 10-1 am was marginally better and 1-3 am was awesome XP grinding time as there was no more waiting for mobs to pop.

RL obligations are more important then a game. If I die with a thousand EQ regrets but none in real life then I can die a happy man. Even if I don't get a 96% rez!
