and i think its odd for you to think thats odd versus someone saying an umbilical cord is not part of a womens body. But hey I guess we all have our own opinions of odd.

2 days without power in a wealthy part of Houston’s Texas medical center. Texas messed up BIGLY, it was 40 degrees in my house and we decided to go up to Dallas to stay with my son. My kids in Houston also don’t have power

I work to install wind power in the western portion of the state. It wasn’t the wind turbines causing this. Honestly, I’m shocked that 20 degree temps collapsed the grid. Inexplicable (except that it’s happened before and they’ve never addressed it.)

Grew up in the Houston area. So how does one of the most air conditioned cities in the world have the power to keep that going in the summer, but doesn't have the power to heat the place on a few cold days?

With all the people in the city and suburbs that have gas heat, shouldn't the blowers running 24/7 draw less power heating than they do cooling in the summer? Is everyone in the city plugging in 20 space heaters at once?

it's a once-in-a-century event and capitalism spent fifty of those ripping all the redundancy and also the copper wiring out of america while telling americans they're the richest country on earth. in terms of number on a computer, not in terms of material conditions for actual americans of course. lmao
