the thing is, the shitty parts of P99 (toxic community, terrible raid scene) are unavoidable and will affect you if you want to ever play past level 59

the shitty parts of TLP servers (krono? 40slot bags?) are completely ignorable and have no affect on your enjoyment of the game

Yeah that's what is frustrating about P99 tbh. It is so fun leveling alts etc., but as soon as you touch the point of needing to raid to improve your gears, it starts getting dirty.

I literally feel dirty raiding on P99, from some (probably a minority) players that can't help their greediness for raid pixels, to how the raid guilds interact with one another and talk shit behind eachother's backs, it's just bad.

I have learned not all raiders are greedy neckbeards out to fuck the other guy over.

However that being said, there's a small minority of extremely greedy neckbeards in raid guilds and they truly ruin it for anyone entering the raid scene thinking that everyone is there for a common goal which is to help one another progress and have fun doing it with one another.

Maybe that's being idealistic to a fault, expecting guilds to be full of tight knit players trying to advance eachother and not just themselves, I don't know.

All I do know is if you choose to raid on P99 you really have to be able to overlook and swallow a lot of bullshit.

I find it strange people go into a new server knowing the population is going to bottom out within a year after another one inevitably launches....and lose all the progress they made on their character(s).

The endgame was only toxic to you because your guild was bad and couldn't ringfence guaranteed pixels in Velious. I'm surprised you're still mad and vocal about that.

Newsflash idiot. Some people play EQ and don't care about nostalgia or classic. They also probably feel lots of nostalgia regardless of certain elements not being EXACTLY as they were. They also don't care about playing the same character for a decade. They just want to enjoy EQ with some of their pals without a bunch of toxic bullshit preventing them from experiencing content. MOST of them (myself included) don't give 2 shits if theres xp pots on the cash shop. Nor do they care if the server dies in a year (It won't). They also don't give a flying fuck about kronos/RMT. If people actually gave a fuck about any of these things they wouldn't flock to TLP's in massive numbers every time they come out. There wouldn't be demand and requests for new TLP's all the time. Time to come face to face with the facts retard. Nobody cares.

Know what they do care about? Being able to experience the endgame content and acquire endgame pixels without shitting into socks for 16 hours straight every week for the rest of their lives. This isn't hard to understand. Why don't you get it?

I don't understand how your tiny brain thinks that all 150 of us shit in socks for 16 hours a day waiting for dragons... wanna know what I did today? I went and leveled my bard in a sick ass guild group in nagafens lair for a few hours, then I went to EC and gave some noobs some plat and gear that was taking up space in my bank... then I joined in on a conversation about football in Butcherblock while waiting for the boat, then I logged on my main and killed King Tormax, then I fell asleep.

Yesterday was a good EQ day... And all the previous days I played were along the same lines. You sir, are a salty moron who needs to go and be with their guild instead of criticizing a community who has had more than enough of your useless banter. Just because you had a bad experience endgame, doesn't mean everyone else did... Maybe you should have joined a guild worth a damn.

Coincidentally SolB is the place I ran into the toxicity of Aftermath on the server in full force. Never would have thought 6-7 years into a server you'd run into people training through lava tunnels to kill groups working their way towards freeti or pulling from 3-4 camps (not all of which were open) while non-twinks were trying to level in the zone.

While I'm sure things of this nature will happen on Agnarr, at least the people getting boned won't have to worry about getting lawyerquested because the other group was running fraps for a simple leveling group.
