The high school I graduated from had about 450 students and two half black brothers, one who chose to go by the name of Bubba. My previous high school had almost 1000 students and only one black kid; he was also the only openly gay student I knew of. Before that I lived in a much more diverse area, but I'm surprised people are aghast at the fact that some areas are 99% white. These places exist.
