For those of you confused about the motive of Rittenhouse, this is worth watching. Hes not a kid aimlessly spraying bullets into a crowd of peaceful protesters. He was pursued, threatened and viciously attacked my a swarm of angry degenerates (separate from the peaceful BLM crowd). The kid had every reason to believe that he might end up beaten to death.

Those who do not read and understand history are doomed to repeat it.

Do you think the old testament is about a 4th dimensional being?

So Seattle has what's called the underground tour. It's a great tourist trap thing with a bit of history thrown in. Part of the tour goes into the Spanish Flu (1918-1920) and what things were like then. When my kids and I took the tour (a little over a year ago) as part of their history class our tour guide was an actual historian with a history degree. She was very knowledgeable about various things. Anyway somebody asked about specifics concerning the flu, death rate, masks, etc. She didn't have a breakdown for the deaths and whatnot but there were several pictures along the tour of people wearing masks, tidbits of info about life during the pandemic. After our tour we came home and started looking at various things concerning the flu.

Population of USA at the time was 103,000,000

Death toll for the Spanish flu was 675,000; over an 18 month period. Surprisingly this thing hit the 20-40 year old demographic pretty hard; with 30 year olds getting the worst of it. So why were 30 year olds hit the hardest.

Not known at the time but has been studied recently is the role childhood nutrition plays in adult immune systems. Relevant NIH study. Everybody knows and has heard about the 1930's great depression. Very few people know about the 2nd worst depression in US history (yes, even worse than the 2008 crash) started in May 1893. This meant a lot of expectant mothers and young children had very poor nutrition for a couple years. Fast forward to 1918 and all those young kids are now adults with poor immune systems. People born in the late 1830's through mid 1840's are now civil war vets; this demographic gets hit very hard also. Finally the very young are hit hard as well; ie, very weak immune system that can't fight this thing off.

Although some people today are nutritionally deficient even the worst off are in better overall shape than the average person in the 1890's. This isn't to say people aren't dying or getting wrecked because of this virus but perspective is a hell of a drug.

No. I think the Old Testament is a story about Elohim's creation, and Yahweh's subcreation, and how Israel constantly forsook Elohim, for immediate gratification granted by Yahweh/Saturn/Cronos/Set/Yaldabaoth.

Read the names of God translation of the Bible and ask yourself why the creation account is detailed twice, in Gen 1 and Gen 2, and why different names are used for Elohim and Yahweh, and then cross reference that with the same nomenclature switcherino in Psalms 22, as well as the tricky language used to delineate parentage of Cain, Abel, and Seth in Gen 4, and which name the first fruits/flock were blood-sacrificed to, and which name Christ called out in Matthew 27:46, and how that relates to the statment made in John 8:44 and Gen 3:15, but what do i gno...

What would be the motive for making this info hard for a commoner to understand. It cant be wrong to take the Bible at face value anyways. Wouldnt Jesus have said like guys the Bible is kind of misleading but he said take it as truth didnt he

There is only one truth, one way, and one life.

Adherence to the commandments doesn't provide salvation. This was made pretty clear. Salvation is given by grace; not earned.

All of the Old Testament is merely outlining the guidelines by which the only Christ would live a full life without transgressing.

Hope this helps.

Seek Christ.

I think everyone in this thread should do what you suggest. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

The purpose of the first narrative (Gen 1:1–2:4a) is about establishing a relationship
between God and humans, and the second account (Gen 2:4b-25) is about building
a relationship in the most essential human bond, marriage. These two relationships,
vertical and horizontal, are complementary and must always come in the described
ordered sequence so that life can be meaningful, beautiful, and happy. First comes a
cultivation of a loving relationship with God, then with our marriage partner, and finally
with others. The closer we are to God, the closer we should be to our spouses and to
others. Only God can provide all the resources for life so we can be a contribution and
blessing to each other. We were created in total dependency upon God; therefore, only
from him can we receive all we need for building deep and lasting relationships.
