Same, I was super super into dub when it came out because for me it was the perfect storm. I was almost always high on weed when I was listening to it (which makes all music better including dub), but also was often working out to it. The dissonance of dub fit to the pain my body was feeling, sound effects like loud sirens made me think of warnings that my body’s systems were having to go into overdrive to keep up

And of course the robotic nature of the noise helped me envision myself as something robotic, something that could take and inflict a lot of damage and not need to stop

I had a falling out with it where I didn’t listen to it for a number of years but I can enjoy it again nowadays
