If someone leaves Iran for America to attain a better life, how can that not happen if it isn't quite explicitly clear to EVERYONE that America would have the superior culture? What is it do you think that draws people westward? McDonald's and Walmart? No, dumb dumb, it's the second treatise on government, it's the first amendment (specifically separation of church and state and freedom of speech). Look at any poll of Muslim countries and they will tell you that not only are they against those things, but they are also against women's rights, religious pluralism, apostasy from Islam, and gay eights as well. It's a curious mental illness that these people know the west is better, but can't add up 2+2 and see the answer as to why. An illness, I might add, that every cultural relativist shares with them.

Please give me ONE positive contribution of Muslims in the west that couldn't have been accomplished by people already living here. You guys don't even give a fuck that 80,000,000 Iranians live under the yoke of people who base government on THE LITERAL INTERPRETATION OF A HORRIBLE BOOK WRITTEN 1400 YEARS AGO. It is shameful how little regard you show for the plight of my people. You are racist and support the murder and oppression of hundreds of millions of Browns and blacks in the Middle East, South Asia, and North Africa.

A threat that is not imminent is no less a threat. I agree it is highly unlikely that the federal government will implement sharia law anytime soon. However we live in a representative democracy in which citizens are afforded a say In their own governance. At the very least that means Sharia is permitted a measure of influence no matter how small. The more adherents that we admit, the greater that influence becomes. Islam also advocates large families, which further amplifies the influence.

It is obvious that you do not agree with Sharia law, but the threat it poses via the values held by Muslims is very real and should not be ignored simply because it is unlikely to be enacted as law. A far more benign illustration if this is social conservative views on abortion. Is it likely the Federal government will outlaw abortions anytime soon? No. Do social conservatives play a role in shaping related law?

Now it may well be that surrounding Muslims with Western culture will temper their beliefs, but that has not been well demonstrated and it is reasonable to attribute that failure of assimilation to flaws in the text the religion is based on. If you have not read any of the Koran I would encourage you to do so.
