He does not have a wife, musta been his his girlfriend. I also met Artie at a book signing in Paramus back in like 08. He is so fucking down to earth man.. we have a lot in common too. Our fathers both were die hard Yankee fans, both of them worked general labor jobs (my dad was a general contractor), And ironic enough they both fell of a roof and really hurt themselves and afterwards they both took a turn for the worst (my old man fell off a ladder because the roof it was leaning on collapsed in on itself and he fell about 15 feet). We were also both the same age when our fathers died (22) and I have a few uncles just like Artie. After my dad passed away my mom suggested I write a letter to Artie cause my dad used to love him on the stern show as a way of grieving. I explained to him how much he ment to my pops over the years and how even though my dad was really sick and physically broken the last few years of his life that artie always made him laugh.

He actually wrote me back and sent me a signed yankees hat with his autograph on it. I can scan the letter and post it here if anyone would be interested in reading it.
