It's not! It's a great thing.

The Democrat Party needs to die, just like the Whigs and the Bull-Moose and whatever other failed political movements there were in this country.

First they fight for slavery because they think black people aren't human like them. Then they want to stop the Civil War because war is tough and why are all these white people dying for no reason. Then they bring Jim Crow and disenfranchise the black people. Then they send dogs and water hoses and barricade the schools because black people shouldn't be in the same building as whites or drink from the same fountain. Then they destroy the black family through entitlement programs. Then they destroy black cohesion by pitting them against each other and using them as tools for an end.

And after having done all this, they come to you and point their finger in your face and tell you that you ain't black if you don't vote for them. And if you bring up any of the above their eyes pop out of their head and the get all red in the face as they shout at you that what really happened was the Democrats and Republicans 'switched' places just before! All those people who did all that shit, those weren't 'real' Democrats. They were Southern Democrats so really just Republicans.

Do you know why the South is solidly Republican now as opposed to before, when all those states were solidly Democratic? Check out the electoral map for 1956:

The reason those states are Republican now is not because the Racist Dixiecrats became Republicans. It's because the Democrat racists just died off. The got old and took their hate with them, and everyone growing up in that area said we're not like that, we're not racist haters, this is bullshit. So they voted Republican and became Republicans because they were opposed to that racist shit. They didn't take over from the Democrats. They didn't 'switch'. They repudiated the racists and hateful policies of the Old Democrat South and decided to forge a more inclusive base.
