I think its because he was the only way to win against hillary who was republican lite + some gestapo ideas about stuff that scares deep red people who dont need no gov, but they had to do her dirty to get an actual win that year.

This is something I've been confused about, republicans are upset they may lose the election but I think they're winning just about everything else aren't they? Biden is very, very unlikely to be able do very much in office if he wins.
