edit: my actual coherent point is, all of this could of been avoided when the USSR collapsed, smart people in the room at the time pointed it out but preparing for war constantly is just too big of a money generating incentive for anyone in charge at the time to actually push for a long lasting peace between the super powers, and that decision then and there caused the ukrarine war, fast forward and everyone seems find with starting ww3 as long as they look correct on twitter about it and think they're on the "right" side.
