I got a few thoughts on this thread after reading the WHOLE thing (sad), I hate making posts that take longer then 30 seconds but I will give in.
Cyren is a great guy, great asset to any guild he is in and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with him. It's rare to find someone with such a high immersion but can keep it chill and make you laugh. However, he's not a victim in this situation. I think he over-reacted when he got killed and then shit hit the fan, feelings got hurt and here we are today. I've been killed on raids before, not once did I ever burger out to an officer or anything like that. Raids get boring, ppl do stupid shit, blah blah I know i've killed my fair share of ppl on raids. At the end of the day Cyren put in an incredible amount of time into the guild and walked away with a kings ransom of loot on his enchanter, alt levels, alt pixels, he will be just fine. I hope to play with him again some day.
As for any aimchat conspiracy please........ I don't even think colgate likes retti, same for Gong with mornin - so why on earth would they sacrifice their relationship with cyren for them.. please. They saw it one way, cyren saw it differently, that's life, no conspiracy.
ps: drakaris has to be the oddest dude I've ever come across on any message board.

I appreciate that - and actually agree with you on most of it. I don't consider myself a victim. I do believe Retti deserved a dunking, though.
For what he was trying to do, it sent a perfectly clear message. And given his history on this server (and with me), I sometimes think I didn't react harshly enough. It's Retti, not some random player fucking around on a raid. Different rules for different people. He had malicious intent, others generally do not. It's not like he hasn't always been on a short leash in Empire anyway.
My reaction after the officer's denied me was definitely amplified, but I don't think it was an overreaction. I think theirs was way too small, considering it didn't teach Retti anything. Punishments are doled out so that certain behaviors stop happening (i.e. lessons are learned). It didn't stop. That was the point of what I did. He learned to not overstep, then he learned moments later that he can overstep all he wants and no one gives a shit.
The ability to overstep with no consequence is endemic with Empire. You can literally kill Empire members all day long as a part of Empire, and nothing will be done about it as long as you keep your RA strong.
I hope to play with you again sometime, pal
