I've been on this server, paying attention, watching and listening and reading these boards for almost a year and a half. I wasn't in the raid scene, but I talked to people every day who were.

I am not deflecting. Some of what you have been saying is from experience. However the portions that regard our intentions for "monopolizing content that we don't need" is precisely the type of stuff that Chest preaches so much.

Sure, guys like Tiggles has a good time playing on those accusations. I just simply don't understand why it is so hard for other guilds not to understand that EQ is designed in such a way that loot tables have awesome rare items but shitty common items. Therefore it takes years to get what you want. And to sustain a guild, it requires fresh bodies. As a result, it is pretty much impossible for a guild to have everything it needs from all the mobs.

Then throw in the fact that you have Chardok AE creating hundreds of level 60 alts, there simply is no end. Moreover, some of us play this game specifically to raid. With 16ish "raid mobs" available to us per week; what purpose is there for us if we can't raid.

Anyways, I am not saying you don't know since you weren't here or whatever. I wasn't here from the beginning either. I've been around for 2 years, although i got to level 40 and quit pre-kunark. The point is, you should sort of limit your accusations to what you know first hand. Its not like Chest/hatelore doesn't recite our history of wrongs enough already and on a daily basis.

Several of your own members not only confirm this proudly, but go out of their way to bring it up every chance they get. The rest of us could assume they're trolling, but here's the thing, where do we draw the line? We have no idea what you guys are doing with loot, and you're getting so much of it that we really can't even imagine how many characters you all must have if you're still using all of it. You need to understand that your guild is perceived as a bunch of evil villains partly because you have an unstoppable troll force working round the clock to project exactly that image.

Maybe if your guild doesn't want to have what you seem to be claiming is an undeserved reputation for behaving like this, maybe you should get rid of the people who do or don't play anymore and definitely do spend all their time working to reinforce that reputation.

I'd make a list of every TMO member I've seen brag about how your guild kills dragons just to delete loot that other guilds would have gotten, but I'm not an officer of TMO so it's not my job.

So I've seen plenty of the raid scene to be "qualified" to have an opinion about how my experience playing this game has been affected by your cockblocking supersquad of aspie treasure-hoarders, thank you very much

Yet who has been suspended for trying to hoard loot? BDA, IB is the answer. Just profess that you hate TMO because they are the top guild, that gets shit done, while your guild "refuses" to compete. While actively competing, cheating, and getting shit on by the gm's, and better players.

Nah. I harbor no real bitterness. I could have joined TMO. I could have waited another couple months, levelled up, gotten resist gear, and app'd. I'm easily a good enough bard and an active enough player that I could have passed the app process with flying colors, made a few friends and secured a foothold in the real loot vending machine on this server. But here's the thing, I didn't, because I didn't want to be part of the problem. Right around the time I app'd BDA Chest had started to make waves, the raid rotation was in its formative stage, and there was hope for a less autistic future on P99. I wanted to be part of the solution. So far I've wanted for nothing save for some Trak guts that I'll probably be getting in, well, let's just say it's not going to be this month or the next, but it's going to happen eventually. I think I made the right call. And here's the important thing, it was my call, I chose it. So I don't hold it against you guys that I'm not in there. That doesn't change the fact that:

Not just actively pursuing, but going balls to the fucking wall all day every day for targets they have, on numerous occasions, freely admitted they didn't even need and were going after expressly for purposes of denying others the opportunity to play this game that we all came back after 15 years of missing and nostalgically pining over to experience once again, pointing fingers at BDA, the guild they claim (falsely, but let's just keep it simple and assume they're right about this) single-handedly strong-armed the rest of the server into adopting a rotation so that everyone could experience the game just a little bit. Oh, but wait, I forgot, TMO is different now, now they're selling MQs of all the epic piece they have been hoarding in their guild bank (as they collected in mass amounts as an indirect consequence of the aforementioned cockblocking) for the amazingly low price of 500k apiece. How generous of the new and improved TMO to gift the people who have been sitting on unfinished epics fully completed, minus a single piece (trak guts, cazic eye, innoruuk's dick in a jar) because TMO had been monopolizing that content for, again, what was it, a year? A year and a half?
