Also the French colonial empire, while second to Britain's, was still quite large and kind of only ended in 1980.

But otherwise I agree, France has been anemic on the world stage since WWI and unless they get their socialism and immigrant problems under control they are doomed to be a 3rd world nation by the end of this century.

Yes, we all have to pay homage to Muslims lest we be seen as politically incorrect. However, the US doesn't have the huge flood of Muslim immigration like France, England and Spain do. We have Mexicans instead, i'll take that trade any day.
