Skipped over some of the back and forth, but this is definitely classic. I still remember being irritated by green goblins attacking me when I went to SolA for the first time as a high level thinking I could just go wherever I pleased. I also remember faction grinding in Droga on my 60 warrior and having to slowly grind through that dungeon because if I ran straight down to RukGus I would get about 200 goblins on me.

I know decaying skeletons always attacked me as a paladin regardless of level or area. I piped up when I noticed the change in Sol A. The only thing I can think of is that in live, by the time I used to go back to Sol A as a high level to gut the place, there was a change I didn't detect.
I always remembered being able to stand right in front of a green con goblin in Sol A when I was higher level (L50+) and never being attacked unless I sat down. I had done some leveling in there from L23-ish to L28. I expected everything to attack on site. It did. It must have changed in between my live leveling time (99-00) and going back a way higher level (01+). If this is the case, is there any time line to it? I'm wondering when in Live was there the change away from the purportedly classic model of humanoid greens attacking anybody whose faction was bad enough. At some point, they stopped doing it. What was that point?

One thing I am fairly certain on is I remember if you aggro'd a green mob the others would assist if they were kos regardless of level or con. So you could stand in front of that green and not get killed but the moment you aggro'd him his friends jumped in and helped. This is only how I remember it though. I could be wrong.

I've been pulling singles past hoards of mobs in paw to power lvl my sister... They definitely are not aggroing me at lvl 57. They don't even assist eachother

I can cast stun on one of a tight group and only the one I cast on will pull. The social agro is the same as it has been for my tenure on this server. The difference I am talking about is whether or not that green proximity-agros. There was a time, both here and on live, when greens did not always agro when you simply got near them as a grossly higher level at any KoS faction level.

I believe the green aggro changes were tested on EQmac.
Now, if you think EQmac got this wrong, I dont know what to tell you.

I thought if you were a paladin or cleric, classes naturally aligned against the undead, that any undead was instantly KoS upon plopping into the newbie zone...
