It also should be a proc in Veeshan's peak. I'm pretty sure that someone can log in eqmac and go aggro any of these outdoors dragon and it will not ever cast this ability on them until it procs it.

Here's an era post from live showing that it is indeed resistable, and this is a guy who was getting feared etc.

You can resist the charm here, but its hard to resist even with 400mr+.

Cap was 255 at the time dude in the picture was resisting it, looks about right.

P.S. Watch out for Dragon charm in VP, charmed clerics have a nasty habit of CH'ing the dragon your fighting.

right now on p99, pretty much as soon as you're in casting range and have aggro'd a dragon, it instantly attempts(usually lands) to charm you

i recall on live running through dreadlands, aggroing gorenaire(vivid memory once of running right into her and getting melee'd and lived) without getting charmed

there's very, very little mention of these dragons charming people, so if they did charm(according to those logs, they must have) it must have been at a much, much lower frequency than we see now, otherwise people would have been talking about getting charmed from across the zone by gorenaire

I'm wondering if this was true:

Dragons could melee while casting a breath and dragon charm was an on hit ability? I am pretty sure I've seen logs where the proc shows a resist above the hit.

Shrug. I care more about endurance working 8).


Edit: One more good question. Should dragon charm indeed be a proc? And should they continue to proc it if they already have someone charmed and just take a new target? i don't think dragon charm even gives a "begins to cast a spell" message on p99, similar to how dragon aoe's don't give a message

the first two could be up for debate whether or not i'm in range, but the third and forth ones show i'm meleeing the dragons and get charmed with absolutely no message; it's possible that in the hoshkar log from live, hoshkar is casting a different spell before he charms/melees/aoes?

Guy who gets summoned is on top of agro list

Anything Hoshkar casted would have been seen as he gets meleed right after.

The cast message from hoshkar after his gate is either from dragon breath or charm... but 1 message so I doubt it can be both.

Let's see of we can find a "Talendor beings to cast a spell" or any other warrior dragon and what happens after in a classic log imo.

So.. that charm is looking like it is in fact casted and not proc'd. I bolded some melee to disprove that its not that he ran really far away or something to not see the breath cast message.



However! During that whole log? Not a SINGLE dragon charm from talendor.
