Here's a thread I haven't made yet because I'm sure it will cause the utmost insanity, but how do you guys feel about people being able to turn in epics at lvl 1? You shouldn't be able to do this until 45 for most pieces and lvl 50 even for others. Yes, I'm aware you need to be 46 to entire hate and fear... and while that magic number may come to mind to rebut my claim ... I very clearly remember some lvl 30 or so wizard on live asking me why he could not hand the note in in Erudin for the wizard epic and I told him he had to be at least 45. He then msg'd me at 45 or 46 and told me I was right, his name escapes me.

I also have bugs to report and investigate by testing here such as nullify magic should not always remove 2 buffs. I recall this being the case dispelling myself and others on red. That is the job of Annul Magic in Kunark which was specifically designed to always remove 2 effects in every case/cast. Nullify and cancel should work much like the disease/poison cure line counterparts with spell effects carrying a set of counters. Here's my grey area though. I seem to recall that no matter how many times I tried to cast cancel magic, I could not remove shield of the magi on live.

Personal notes:

Frankly? I posted some of them because I knew the bug should not exist and I don't think its against the rules to create discussion on a bug you've noticed. I've posted a number of bugs that are now fixed here and even contributed to shaman dots stacking which I believe is now patched into the game. You should have seen the responses on that as well as being able to hand shaman pets mage swords/fine steel daggers and shit. I have a very strong memory on most things and am happy to contribute. Why wouldn't you want these contributions to the project?

As far as my pomp and zeal in posting in these threads, find the man who can strictly recall exactly where the missing plane of hate zone out to Nektulos should be up there. I will gladly bow to that wisdom. I believe it dumped you out at the end of the road in Nektulos that forked off. If you want conveniences like these in exchange for game breaking bugs that trivialize content, you may want to be a little more pleasant and agreeable to people who did play this game religiously from day 1 until release. Though my character timeline in my sig goes back to 2000, I played a mage named Manlar on the Tunare server. I lost his corpse in lava storm being the newb I was (my first char) and decided I liked what I saw from the wizard and rolled on the Rallos Zek server because I wanted to attack the players I saw running around.

Calling me an idiot or making stupid unrelated comments in the bug section got me 2 days in the tank from Nilbog. Sorry you were subjected to the same. My personal view is that heated discussions will arise in the bugs section over controversial topics. I'll be doing my best to keep it civil there, but people including myself will likely get fired up discussing the topics.

As for my weight? I clock in at a paltry 165-170, a computer nerd by trade yes, but with a high metabolism and strict discipline when it comes to regular fatty food/chocolate/alcohol consumption. I'll leave my weight management tips out of this thread though.

Nirgon, the issue people are taking with your bug reports is the fact that they are not bug reports, but personal statements by you regarding changes you think the server should implement. A statement, without positive evidence, is just that a statement. Anyone can make one and make it say anything they want.

The bug report system and the developers require evidence to justify a change. I could just as easily make an opposing bug report and say "Sirran is charmable" and cite the same guides you did and declare "none of the guides say Sirran is uncharmable, so he must be charmable". That statement however is a logical fallacy, not unlike the statements you have made, wherein the guides say other stuff is charmable, therefore Sirran is uncharmable, even though none of the guides positively stated Sirran was uncharmable.

The bug report system does not operate in that manner.

If you were to bring evidence earlier in your posts that positively identifies the issue you seek to have changed/fixed, then people would be more receptive of the reports you have made/will make.

I'm all for correcting the server where it needs to be corrected, but the developers have set forth a process and it should be followed to prevent errant changes from being made.

Let's all just start posting random bug reports like Nirgon and see how many we can get to go through.

So the guard change and the mage sword change are just completely made up despite me posting the patch notes.

So is the Sirran death touching despite posting a raid guide confirming it as well as the Everlore post.

I don't understand your train of logic.

Did I say any of those posts where you actually posted positive evidence were improper? No.

Please try again.

No you guys have tried to lump all of my posts together in an effort to dismiss them.

Apparently I know what I'm talking about here.

I'm quick to point fingers based on my experience in this community when I see people trying to pretend they know something to keep content trivial (cough Naggy pulled out of lair).

People were SURE that was possible, linked something from Fippy Darkpaw and acted much like they are here.... never mind the fact that these same players were told not to do so on blue and came and did it on red. That was completely non classic and vigorously defended for the same reasons I detect here.

Please do not attribute other people's posts to me, they are not mine and I have not adopted what they said, unless I state as such. If you take issue with the way other people have addressed your "bug reports" then respond to them, but do not attribute it to me when I specifically point out the flaws in your reports.
