I'm sure this started as a hobby for nilbog. I'm sure it was pretty rewarding for him and other staff at the start. But it doesn't take a fucking genius to decipher their current attitude towards this community as being at the end of their nerves from putting up with us. This may be a "free" project but it doesn't excuse the community from behaving how we do. Either play it and enjoy it, offer constructive criticism and legitimate bug reports to make it better, or fucking walk and take your baby-nuts, behind-the-monitor anonymous server/staff bashing with you imo.

Ah yes Nilbog did pwn the OP. Although in the long run the OP was dead on. Nilbogs post was from 05-13-2012, 01:10 PM - Almost 6 months ago.
The original post was saying how the server NEEDS new content. I guess the OP was spot on?

There're other games... what is anyone going to do with 10+ lvl 60s in Velious? What the server needs is worthless people to shut the fuck up instead of CONSTANTLY moaning and bitching about shit they don't deserve in the first place. This website is dedicated to these dipshits: http://first-world-problems.com/ @staff: I wouldn't give a flying fuck about threads like these. They only serve one purpose: trolling. Just ban the scum straight up and delete/lock said threads. If people don't enjoy playing here, fuck 'em. Let them leave. How does that affect the project? Right. Not in the slightest. It's your pet project, your "Everest". Of course it's more fun and motivation if dudes and dudettes actually play and a ton of people in fact do. Don't just look at the bad side (RNF...). There're plenty of praise threads in Server Chat.

Oh and the people who reference EQmac. I actually enjoy being able to see mobs lifetotals update in real time, accurate pathing, being able to go third person, no PoK (a zone which destroyed the game). The fact is that even at 331 ppl, thats still about triple the avg population of EQmac. Enjoy your stale, competitive-free raid community too where nothing is truly earned, but given. I'm sure its totally interesting.

Not like accurate pathing is a good thing anyway, you should be licking the current and former developer's balls for the custom paths NPCs take. P99 way better (easier) in that aspect.

I do agree though. Within five seconds of logging into EQMac i was disgusted by the fact that the client, when pressing 5 on the Numpad to center your vision, doesn't center vision but instead leaves you looking up by about 10 degress. I had completely forgotten the old clients did that back then and I hated it. I also disliked the inability to use the mouse wheel to scroll out and that you could only F9. It's annoying enough playing titanium where I don't have the option to hold down the left mouse button and circle around my character after wheeling out (a feature implemented in Seeds of Destruction), no mouse wheel at all was torturous. I have a habit of going into 3rd person when sitting in a camp for raids/groups or while running places. No idea why I just do lol. Also bothered me that /dopropertinting for Luclin models is broken on EQMac and ,with no devs on the project since 2004, it will never be fixed. I do like EQMac though don't get me wrong, I play every once in awhile and it's fun to have that nostalgia. But I find myself playing P99 or Live much more. Though I think this stems from the fact that, I personally, think EQ's growth was odd. I preferred Classic content, but I prefer the clients as they are today. Basically as the content/expansions got shittier, the client and it's functionalities/UI got significantly better. I would kill for a Classic-Velious or Classic-Luclin server that allowed the use of the Veil of Alaris client. But again, that's just me.
